Tony Roberts working in Sculpture, mainly in cast, fused, laminated and stained glass

Resume
Tony Roberts started his artistic career as a monk, illustrating, in the '60s. By the 70s he was teaching pottery, no longer a monk, but married. During the 80s he turned to project management, building a practice undertaking large-scale public and private design and installation work.

In the 90s he trained as a sculptor and started creating, exhibiting and selling his ceramic artworks as an antidote to the stresses of this practice. Experimentation with ceramics lead to his discovering glass as a medium about ten years ago, since when he has created several hundred works, now with clients in the UK, Europe, America and Australia.

He left his Project Management practice in 2008 to focus on a career as a full-time sculptor, since when he has exhibited across the UK and in Australia. His first solo show was in October 2009. He now works mainly to commission (which he welcomes!).
