The BVA holds a series of exhibitions every year.
The major event is in June, this year Open Studios 2017 features 29 artists with studios open over 2 weekends and a Group Show at the Willow, Oswestry.
We usually have a themed group show in both the spring and autumn.
The BVA has a dedicated exhibition space in Oswestry Library.
So there is always some BVA members work on display there.
1, 2 or 3 members hold personal shows starting on the first Monday of each month
Our more active members participate in group shows and solo exhibitions further afield.
In 2017 this included Chelsea Flower Show, Willow Gallery, Oswestry, Y Capel, Llangollen.

Painting with Words
Willow Gallery, Oswestry
An open exhibition celebrating the influence and inspiration of literature and language on the visual arts. We encourage Artists to explore this interesting and inspiring topic in a broad range of styles, materials and interpretations.
Key themes for inspiration:
Literature, language, storytelling, prose, poetry, song lyrics, sung and spoken word, myths, legends and local history.
Calligraphy, illuminated manuscripts, typesetting, print, bookbinding, paper and print.

Energy and Motion
Undegun 11 Regent Street Wrexham
Join us for the launch of Energy & Motion at Undegun, from 7pm.
Featuring the work of:
With special guest emerging artist Tristan Dickenson.
The launch will feature music from Jonathan Evans Coley.
The night also presents the premiere of People in Places Written and Directed by Robert Corcoran for 73 Degree Films.

This exhibition features the work of three prominent visual artists, all with Wrexham connections through their learning, work and social circles. The exhibition is tour de force of contemporary abstract-expressionist thought where “Energy & Motion” become reality through the interpretation of the painters.
