Resume
My journey began aged 6 or 7 when I entered an early Children's TV Art Competition and won!
A trip to London, lots of lovely prizes and appearing on TV were the result. I clearly remember the excitement (and still have the prizes).
Huge gap (life) before I enrolled on Foundation at Shrewsbury where I felt I had finally found my tribe. That and winning the Telford Open made me try for a degree and I got a BA(Hons) at Stoke as a mature student. So mature my finish was delayed a year by a hip replacement!
After that I had an opportunity to move into F.E., teaching in the community in Powys, Wrexham and Shropshire. I loved the challenge and stimulation of working with adult learners and during this period I had the pleasure of appearing on the very first edition of Watercolour Challenge, filmed in Clun.
Now that I've all but finished teaching I find myself liberated and excited to have time and space to to explore other ways of working and spend much too long in my studio and/or garden every day.
